25 Random Notes about Me

1. I own a guitar, a banjo, a piano, and a drumset. I can’t play any of them.
2. I have sung the National Anthem during March Madness on National Television. And I wasn’t part of the audience.
3. The thing I miss most about being young and irresponsible is being young and irresponsible.
4. I once rode in a canoe down a river with the Indigo Girls.
5. I don’t know what to do with free time and get anxious when I have it.
6. I don’t know what the sixth random note about me should be. I guess I figured one out.
7. I miss doing Comedy Sportz. Yeah, you heard me, I used to do Comedy Sportz.
8. I need to be mentally challenged most of the time. Good thing I find most things mentally challenging. How Velcro works, for example, is quite complex to me.
9. My mom tells me all the time I have a reading disability and am dyslexic (and fat too). I have never seen the actual records proving said facts, but it makes sense to me.
10. Most people think I have an engineering degree.
11. I couldn’t get a law job while in law school.
12. When people tell me they think I am “creative,” my first reaction is they are being condescending or saying (politely) that I am not very smart.
13. My wife is mad that she is reading these and didn’t know some of them.
14. My wife was my first, and only, true love.
15. The only time I ever felt I truly changed the world was when my children were born.
16. I am insecure about my girth…..and there is a lot of it.
17. The person I learned more from about being a good person and a good lawyer at the same time was (and is) Sean Lincoln.
18. I like the catch phrase “I am Mighty.”
19. I don’t feel like I get to try enough cases.
20. I think Aria will change the world.
21. I think Cole will save the world.
22. I am proud of and admire my wife every day for (a) making no. 20 and 21 happen and (b) tolerating me.
23. I like cheese. A lot.
24. I take my responsibility as an “older” South Asian lawyer really seriously.
25. I don’t take myself very seriously…….much.
